Americans once called this city 'Explorer's Paradise'. Being China's largest municipality of international fame, it is indeed a world-famous metropolis and a hub of land and water transport center serving the eastern gateway to China.

Day 1 ¡V SHANGHAI
Arrive Shanghai, meet and greet at Airport then transfer to the Hotel of your choice.

The Shanghai program starts with a typical dinner at the Shanghai landmark - The Peace Hotel. After dinner, visit the Jazz Bar of the Hotel and you will be amazed by the 'Old Jazz Band', again one of the city's best known musical ensembles. Composed of six veteran jazzmen, with an average age of around 60, the band specializes in popular tunes from the Thirties and Forties.

Day 2 ¡V SHANGHAI
A day to explore this unique metropolitan city, China's largest city.
A visit to the The Bund - an Anglo-Indian term for the embankment of a muddy waterfront- is a must. It is a great meeting place for both local Chinese and foreigners alike. In the morning it is an exhibition place for Tai Chi(shadow boxing) and martial arts while it is a lovers' lane after dark. Stretching about a mile along the Huangpu River, it was known as the Wall Street of Asia. Ths is famous waterfront is lined with buildings built in the 1930's and reminiscent of that era.
From the Bund we will continue on to the Jade Buddha Temple. Two of China's most famous jade Buddhas are housed within these temple walls. Each figure is carved from a single piece of white jade with one carved in a rarely-found reclining position. The seated Buddha, encrusted with jewels, is said to weigh 1,000 kg. The temple is an active one, with 70 resident monks at last count. It was built between 1911 and 1918. The exterior is readily identifiable by the bright saffron walls. Artifacts abound in the temple with 7,000 Buddhist sutras lining the temple walls.
A visit to Shanghai is not complete without a Dumpling lunch served at Lu Bo Lang Restaurant in the Yu Garden where Queen Elizabeth and Bill Clinton had both eaten there before.
After lunch a tour of the Yu Yuan Garden and the Old Town is a must. Yu Yuan, or " Garden of Happiness" captures the essence of the landscape art and architecture style of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. This 16th century garden is a maze of colorful pavilions, ponds, stone dragons, arching trees and flowers. It is one of China's finest examples of Ming dynasty gardens and architecture with its famous zigzag bridge. Old Town, with its maze of narrow alleys and cobblestones lanes, was the center of Shanghai centuries ago. It is easy to lose one self among the winding alleys while shopping for traditional handicrafts.
In the evening enjoy a top class dinner at the renowned Shanghai American Club or at the Grand Theatre before proceeding to enjoy the world famous acrobatic show in Shanghai.. a sight not to be missed.

Day 3 ¡V SHANGHAI
Antique appreciation and Old Shanghai¡K¡K
We start off with a visit to the Shanghai Museum.
The Museum was founded in 1952 and the new Museum building was re-built in 1996. Among the 110,000 plus relics it now holds, the collections of bronzes, painting, ceramics, furniture and calligraphy are the richest.
From the Museum, a drive through the Old French Concession reveals an area of elegant tree lined roads with gracious and stunning houses on both sides. The area has since been transformed into a trendy area with great restaurants and night clubs where the young and dynamic jet set congregates each night.
Then it is on to Nanjing Road, the ultimate shopping district and Shanghai's shopping mecca. Souvenirs, traditional handicrafts, sweets, gifts, clothings, retails shops, restaurants all kinds of merchandise that one can think of are found in the shops lining both sides of the street.
Dinner can be taken at one of the trendy restaurants in a converted 1930's house or at the Astanti Dome - a former church now turned into a elegant Italian Restaurant.

Day 4 ¡V SHANGHAI / HONG KONG
Free until transfer for airport for your flight to Hong Kong
HONG KONG
- the sovereignty of Hong Kong reverts to China. Under an unique arrangement referred to as "One country, Two Systems", Hong Kong become a Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) of China enjoying a high degree of autonomy.
Meet and greet at Airport for transfer to Hotel.
Express check-in with key distribution in private function room while enjoying a welcome drink.
Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 5 ¡V HONG KONG
An invigoration start - TAI CHI Exercise
This is a graceful exercise combining thought and action with the ancient martial art philosophy.
After exercising the mind and body, replenish your forces with a typical Chinese "dim sum" breakfast while sipping Chinese tea side by side with the local populace.
Then visit a typical wet market and be amazed by the variety of fresh produce on display and watch housewives haggling good-naturedly with the stallholders. Finish the morning with a visit to the Temple of the Goddess of Mercy at Lin Fa Kung to seek her blessings.
Enjoy a tonic lunch at Treasure Restaurant to restore your energy.
Markets of Hong Kong Tour
A visit to Hong Kong is not complete without a visit to all the colourful and vibrant market places. The tour will start off at the jade market where hawkers sell various shades and qualities of the precious stone. For the Chinese, jade has great spiritual value for warding off evil. In its different carved shapes and forms, it can represent wealth, good fortune and power.
From the Jade market, we will visit the city's most fragrant avenue, which is Flower Market Road. At the Flower Market, blooms from around the world line the stalls and are priced at almost one third of city flower shops. After marvelling at flowers, we continue on to the Yuen Po Street Bird Garden. Within the Garden, more than 70 bird stalls showcase a variety of melodious songbirds. This garden consists of courtyards and moon gates and is a pleasure to visit as besides birds there all kinds of fancy items like teak cages, tiny porcelain water bowls and culinary delicacies - for birds that is.
Dai Pai Dong Dinner at Hotel
Dai Pai Dong is the traditional Chinese stall, which offer exotic food and trinkets in the back streets of Hong Kong. They are a picturesque part of local life, which has been brought right into the ballroom or function room. All guests will enjoy a fresh dim sum, savoir Peking Duck and noodle dishes. They will also have a chance to witness the art of Chinese calligraphy, have their palm read, and their fortune told by a bird. A very tasty slice of Chinese life, served up in an unforgettable evening of exotic delights

Day 6 ¡V HONG KONG
A delightful experience to explore Lantau by driving along the scenic expressway and across the Tsing Ma Bridge to Lantau island. A picture stop will be made at the viewing platform of the world's longest road/rail suspension bridge before going onto the unspoiled island of Lantau visiting the beautiful while sand beach of Cheung Sha, the interesting and historic Tai O village where traditional Chinese houses are built on stilts. Then onto the mountain peal where the world's largest seated outdoor bronze Buddha is situated. The tour finishes with a wonderful vegetarian lunch at the monastery.
Great food and a leisurely afternoon
In the evening, you can enjoy a short ferry ride to the Lamma Island where great seafood are served at the open air terrace restaurant with the lovely sea breeze - a typical Hong Kong Experience!
