Kathmandu City & Swayambhunath

Kathmandu city known as Kantipur, the capital of the Kingdom of Nepal. Nowhere in the world can one find the same concentration of culture, art and tradition that exists in Kathmandu valley. This city is a concentration of temples. Near the Durbar square is the residence of Kumari the Virgin Goddess who acknowledges the greetings of the devotees from the balcony of her temple residence. Kasthamandap the source of the name Kathmandu. Hanuman Dhoka the ancient palace of the Nepalese Royalty. Swayambhunath ˇV this stupa is said to be 2000 years old and is one of the worldˇ¦s most glorious Buddhist Chaityas, it is 4 km west of Kathmandu city, and is situated on a hillock, from here one can have a spectacular view of Kathmandu valley.

 

Patan

Patan city known as Lalitpur. It is 6 km south east of Kathmandu city across the southern bank of the river Bagmati. The city is full of Buddhist monuments, Hindu temples and the ancient palace. Noted for its craftsmen and metal workers it is also known as the city of artists.

 

Bhaktapur City

Bhaktapur city known as Baktapur is the home of medieval art and architecture. 14 km east of Kathmandu city. The main square of the city contains innumerable temples and other architectural showpieces; the Lion Gate, the palace of 55 windows, the Batsala temple, the Nyatpola temple.

 

Pashupatinath & Boudhanath

The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is situated 5 km east of Kathmandu on the bank of the sacred Bagmati river. It is a pagoda-style temple with a gilt roof and richly carved silver doors. One of the most holy temples in the entire Hindu world. Boudhanath is one of the worldˇ¦s largest stupas, Boudha is generally acknowledged to be the most important Tibetan Buddhist monument outside Tibet. Tibetans simply call it Chorten Chempo ˇ§ Great Stupa ˇ¨ ˇV it has become the Mecca of Tibetan exiles in Nepal.

 

Overnight Rafting Package

Day 1 - Early morning drive from Kathmandu Gajuritar to (raft put in point) (68 km to 3 hours drive). Then the rafts are inflated and we load our gear. After changing into suitable attire we are briefed by the group leader; a few notable about the river, the technical know how to maneuver the raft and safety measures. We begin rafting in a languid pleasurable fashion to get the feel of the motion on a raft. Lunch will be served enroute. Overnight camp at Charaudi.

Day 2 ˇV After breakfast we begin the second day trip. Lunch will be served enroute. Rafting end at Mugling (110 km from Kathmandu). Drive to Kathmandu or Pokhara or Chitwan.

 

Pokhara City Tour & 1 Hour Boat Ride

Morning sightseeing of the city visiting Bindhyavasini temple, gorges cut by Seti river, water fall and also visiting the local bazaar. Afternoon boating on the Phewa Lake.
