BEIJING

1.  The Great Wall of China and Ming Tombs Tour with Lunch (Duration : 8 hours)

Pick up from hotel to the Great Wall (Badaling Section). Climbing The Great Wall will show one of the most astonishing feats of human endeavor - the only man-made object visible from the moon. Construction of the Great Wall began in the Seventh Century BC and was extended in the following dynasties. The section at Badaling is representative of the work done during the Ming Dynasty. Here the high wall was faced with bricks and stone slabs, and rammed earth, sand and grovels were used to form its core. Rising and falling with the mountain ridges, it has an average height of 7.8 meters; advised width at the base is 6.5 meters and at the top 5.8 meters, allowing ample for 10 people or half a dozen horses to walk abreast and a visit to the Ming Tombs, a burial site of 13 Ming Emperors. Lunch is included enroute.

 

2.  Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City and Temple of Heaven (Duration : 7 hours)

Depart from Hotel for the heart of the city, Tiananmen Square guarded on the side by the Gate of the Heavenly peace which commands the entrance to the Imperial Palace. The central square consists of several important monuments and buildings. The Great Hall of the People, The Memorial Hall of Chairman Mao. Just in front of the Square is the Imperial Palace also known as the Forbidden City. Built between 1417 and 1420, it is a maze of corridors and palaces which houses the ancient Emperors for Thousands of Years. Beijing today still retains many facets of its antiquity and one of its relics, The Temple of Heaven, is proof of the unique and exquisite layouts that typifies the architecture of its time. Lunch is included enroute.

 

3.  Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven & Summer Palace Tour (Duration : 7 hours)

Built between 1417 and 1420, it is a maze of corridors and palaces which houses the ancient Emperors for Thousands of Years. 4.  Summer Palace, Lama Temple & Beijing Zoo Tour (Duration : 7 hours)

Pickup from the Hotel to the Summer Palace which is an immense park exemplifying the Qing Architectural style. The site had long been a Royal Garden and was considerably enlarged and embellished by Emperor Qianlong in the 18th Century for use as a summer residence to escape Beijing¡¦s intense heat. After that visit to the Lama Temple, the Most Renowned Tibetan Buddhist Temple within China outside of Tibet itself. The Lamasery has three richly worked archways and five main halls strung in a line down the middle, each taller than the preceding one. The last hall has an 18-metre high statue of the Maitreya Buddha in its Tibetan form, sculpted from a single piece of sandal wood and clothed in yellow satin. Lunch is included enroute.

 

5.  Peking Duck Banquet (Duration : 3.5 hours)

Try out Peking Duck dinner at Qianmen Quanjude Restaurant is a must-do in Beijing. Beijing roast duck is one of China's most renowned food specialties, having a history of 300 years. With a shiny brownish appearance, the bird's crispy skin and tender meat are highly nutritious and delicious. It does not make the gourmets feel greasy, especially when eaten with sweet plum sauce and scallions.

 

6.  Beijing Opera Show (Duration : 3 hours)

Peking Opera Show at Qianmen Hotel and is regard as the creme de la creme of all the opera styles prevalent in China. Traditionally it's been the opera of the masses. In some ways it's very similar to the ancient Greek Theatre, with its combination of singing, dialogue, acrobatics and pantomime, the actors wearing masks and the performance accompanied by loud and monotonous rhythms produced with percussion instruments.

 

GUILIN

1.  Full day Li River Cruise (Duration : 8 hours)

Depart for a cruise on the famous Li River. Visitors board a one or two deck pleasure boat for a spectacular cruise along the winding Li River. Along the way, famous rock formations come into view: Crown Hill and Solitary Beauty Hill which have all inspired painters and poets for centuries.

We will also be able to watch fishermen ply their bamboo rafts through the rapids. The boat will stop at Yangshuo, a small town where one can do a bit of shopping. Return to Guilin city by bus driving through the typical Guangxi countryside. Lunch is included on cruise.

2.  Half day tour to Elephant Trunk Hill, Fubo Hill & Reed Flute Cave (Duration : 7 hours)

Depart Hotel to visit the Elephant-Trunk Hill. It looks like an elephant drinking water at the confluence of the Taohua River and the Lijiang River. Fubo Mountain to the north-east of downtown Guilin by the Lijiang River has the Xinxi Marquis Temple built during the Tang Dynasty (618-907). The title of Xinxi Marquis was given to Fubo General Ma Yuan, so the name of the mountain is in the river and the other half is on the land. During flood season turbulence currents explode against the mountain rocks. Then also visit to Reed Flute Cave - named for the legendary musical qualities of its reeds, Reed Flute Park is home to some of Guilin's best scenery and caves. In an attempt to control the flow of people through the subterranean wonderland, the Guilin tourist authority has built a 500m long trail some 240m deep along which pseudo-spelunkers can happily traipse.

 

XIAN

1.  Full day Terra Cotta Warriors, Hua Qing Hot Springs & Banpo Museum (Duration : 8 hours)

Depart for a full day tour of this famous historical city with visits to the Terracotta Warriors, the Banpo Village, the Hua Qing Hot Springs and the 652 AD Big Wild Goose Pagoda, the small Wild Goose Pagoda and the Old City Wall which surrounds the ancient city completely. Lunch is included enroute.

 

2.  Full day Historical Museum, Forest of Stone Steles, City Wall and Bell Tower (Duration : 7 hours)

Depart from hotel for visit to Banpo Museum - a historic site of a primitive tribal village dating back more than 6,000 years ago. This historic site under state protection is a representative of the Neolithic village. A primitive village, remains of houses, and nearly 10,000 production tools and daily-used articles are on exhibition in the museum. Also, visit to City Wall built during the Ming Dynasty, it protectively surrounds the Original City of Xian-then known as Chang'an. The Wall is the most complete wall still standing. Its magnitude explains how it has survived such a long history. Then visit to the Bell Tower built during the Ming Dynasty offers an excellent view of the city. All four of Xian's City gates can be seen from this graceful tower, whose glazed-tiled eaves date from the 14th century.

 

3.  Tang Dynasty Show & dinner (Duration : 3 hours)

Treat yourself to an evening of ancient dance, songs and food. The cultural show performed by the Tang Dynasty song and dance troupe, a branch of the Shaanxi Provincial song and dance troupe is enjoyable and has been classified a national art which fully reflects the glory and richness of the Tang Dynasty era. Visiting Xian is not complete without watching the show.

 

 

SHANGHAI

1.  Full day to The Bund, Yu Garden & Jade Buddha Temple (Duration : 7 hours)

Depart for a full day tour to Zhongshan Road is a wide avenue along the Huangpu River. The newly renovated promenade between the Wusong River and the Old Town is known as The Bund, the former " Wall Street " of the foreign powers. The name itself reflects those colonial days: "Bund" is an Anglo-Indian word meaning embankment or quai. Then visit to Yuyuan Garden is the only fully restored classical Chinese garden in Shanghai. It was inaugurated in the Ming dynasty and has a total area of 20,000 square meter. Although the Garden occupies less than five acres, demonstrates perfectly the sophisticated art of combining several different elements to create a world in miniature - ingeniously mingling pavilions and corridors, small hills and carefully selected and well-placed rocks, lotus ponds, bridges, winding paths, and trees and shrubs. The tour will also visit to the Jade Buddha Temple was built between 1911 and 1918. The exterior is readily identifiable by the bright saffron walls. Inside, the centerpiece is a 1.9-metre-high white jade Buddha, which was installed here after a monk has brought it from Burma to Zhejiang Province in 1882.

 

2.  Evening Acrobatic Show (Duration : 2.5 hours)

The Shanghai Acrobatic Show is a must. Performed in the Shanghai Acrobatic Theatre, it is one of the best equipped in China for these acts. Circus Acts go back to more than 2,000 years making use of simple props and effects like sticks, plates, eggs and chairs in addition to the magic, vaude ville, drama, clowning, music, dance, and mime which all thrown together to make a complete spectacular performance.

 

3.  Full day Suzhou Tour (Duration : 10 hours)

Depart Shanghai by train to Suzhou, the paradise on earth, is famous for its silk and gardens, and we drive for about one hour to see them. In the morning we see the Humble Administrator¡¦s Garden, the Fisherman Garden, and the Suzhou Embroidery Institute. After lunch, we climb the Tiger Hill to see the leaning tower in China, and then we go to the Coiling Gate¡Xthe typical water gate in an ancient water town. At last, we have a visit to the Suzhou No. 1 Silk Factory, to find out the whole process how Chinese people make silk and in the same time to get some souvenirs. Lunch include enroute.

 

4.  Full day Zhou Zhuang Tour (Duration : 8 hours)

Depart Shanghai to an ancient town on water, Zhouzhuang was first established in 1086 in the Northern Song Dynasty. It is charming for its beautiful surroundings and simple, ancient buildings, ancient archways, crisscrossing rivers and lakes. Over half of the buildings in the town were constructed in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.

 

GUANGZHOU

1.  Full day to Chen Clan Temple, Qing Ping Market, Sun Yat Sen Memorial Hall & Six Banyan Pagoda (Duration : 7 hours)

Depart for a full day tour to visit Chen Clan Temple which is one of the oldest in Canton. The earliest Buddhist temple on this site possibly dates as back as the 4th century AD. A section of the complex now houses the Antique Store. The Qing Ping Market came into existence in 1979. Although such private (capitalist) markets are a feature of all Chinese cities today, it was one of Deng Xiaoping's more radical economic experiments at that time. Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall on Dongfeng Lu was built in honour of Sun Yat-sen, with donations from Overseas Chinese and from Canton citizens. Temple of the Six Banyan Trees was built during the 6th Century AD, and was ruined by fire. After rebuilt at the end of 10th Century, it was renamed as " Purificatory Wisdom Temple ". Within the temple compound is the octagonal Flower Pagoda, the oldest of its kind at 55 meters - tallest in the city and stands in central Canton.
