Itinerary:


Day 1 - Ho Chi Minh City ¡V Arrival (-/-/-)
Meet on arrival at Ho Chi Minh/Tan Son Nhat International Airport, transfer to hotel for check in. Accommodation in Ho Chi Minh City.

 

Day 2 - Ho Chi Minh City ¡V Hue (B/L/-)
Breakfast. Short orientation tour: Passing Notre Dame Cathedral, Post Office, former Presidential Palace (exterior only) we will visit Tien Hau Pagoda. Transfer to the airport and flight to Hue, the former royal city of the 13 ruling Nguyen dynasties. Lunch at Club Garden. Afternoon visit of Imperial Citadel, Forbidden City and Museum of Royal Relics. Accommodation in Hue.

 

Day 3 - Hue (B/L/-)
Breakfast. Boat trip on the Perfume River to visit Thien Mu Pagoda, one of the oldest ancient architectural structures for religious worship in Hue. Continue by boat to visit the magnificent Minh Mang Tomb. After lunch visit Tu Duc tomb. On the return trip back to your hotel you will also have the opportunity to watch local villagers producing colourful incense sticks in their homes. Accommodation in Hue.

 

Day 4 - Hue ¡V Danang ¡V Hoi An ¡V Danang (B/L/-)
Breakfast. Departure by coach to Danang. The scenic 4-hour drive via Hai Van pass offers spectacular views of mountains, sea, idyllic beaches and villages. After lunch we continue to Marble Mountains with its beautiful grottoes and temples, which can be reached by climbing steep steps (please wear appropriate shoes). We continue further south to the charming historic city of Hoi An. Known to early Western merchants, Hoi An was one of the major trading centers of Southeast Asia in the 16th century. Hai An has a distinctive Chinese atmosphere with low, tiled-roof houses and narrow streets; the original structure of some of these streets is still virtually intact. Many of the houses were constructed of rare timbers and decorated with lacquer panels engraved with Chinese characters and pillars carved with ornamental designs. During a leisurely discovery tour on foot you will visit some of the historic merchant and community houses, places of worship and famous bridges. Accommodation in Danang.

 

Day 5 - Danang ¡V Hanoi ¡V Haipong (B/L/-)
Breakfast. Transfer to Danang airport and flight to Hanoi. Lunch at Brother¡¦s Cafe. Continue to Bat Trang pottery village, surrounded by fertile farmland. Watch the artisans forming, painting and glazing their products, which are then baked for several days in huge kilns. Continue to Haiphong, North Vietnam¡¦s largest sea port. Short Orientation tour before checking in at your hotel. Accommodation in Haiphong.

 

Day 6 - Haiphong ¡V Halong Bay ¡V Hanoi (B/L/-)
Breakfast. Early morning departure by coach, crossing to Halong Bay via two ferries. Discover Halong Bay, listed as a World Heritage Area of outstanding natural beauty. ¡§ Dragon descending to the sea ¡¨ as it is known in Vietnamese, picturesque Halong Bay has more than 1,000 limestone islets rising from the sea, many of them containing beautiful grottoes. Enjoy a relaxing 5-hour boat trip through Halong Bay, fresh Seafood lunch is prepared and served on board. Late afternoon drive back to Hanoi. Accommodation in Hanoi.

 

Day 7- Hanoi (B/L/-)
Breakfast. Full day city tour: visit Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (closed Monday and Friday and the whole months of Oct/Nov), Ho Chi Minh¡¦s former residence, One-Pillar Pagoda, Temple of Literature. After lunch we will visit Hoan Kiem Lake and Ngoc Son Temple, Old Quarter and Quanh Tanh Temple and the Museum of Ethnology. Evening: attend the performance of the unique Vietnamese traditional art of Water puppetry. Accommodation in Hanoi.

 

Day 8 - Hanoi ¡V Departure (B/-/-)
Breakfast. Leisure time until transfer to Hanoi / Noi Bai International Airport for departure.
